* JEWELLERY ITEMS * CUFFLINKS * BEER PUMP CLIPS & FONTS * BADGES OF ALL TYPES * AND MORE...THEY CAN ALL BE EMBELLISHED WITH THE APPLICATION OF BEAUTIFUL CLEAR OR COLOURED ENAMELS.
Cold enamelling is the popular term used to describe the process of applying epoxy resins to decorate items. Unlike traditional vitreous enamels, no firing is required for them to cure, hence the term cold cure or cold enamel.
Epoxy resins can be applied to virtually any material - from gold, silver, bronze and brass, to pewter, alloys, plated & painted non-precious metals and plastics.
They can be used clear to create a smooth, hard, translucent 'lens', or skilfully pigmented with a vast spectrum of beautiful colours.
At Capricorn, we have established an excellent reputation for using these resins to add both translucent domes and coloured infills to a wide wide variety of products, producing stunning results.
We have many types of special epoxy resins and hardeners to suit virtually any application, from completely flat surfaces, to curved or even fully round - as well as resins that cure to provide a hard finish, whilst staying flexible to the touch.
